What is a podcast?
A podcast is an downloadable audio or video file, where you can get an subscription at using the RSS Feed. Using a RSS Feed reader or player lets it synchronize with your PC or mobile device, like an iPod (using iTunes in that case).
Most audio podcast look a lot like radio shows, only you decide when you want to listen to it.
How do I subscribe?
For subscription on a podcast like CrashCastFM you need software on your computer. Apple users can already use their media player iTunes for that. PC users can use iTunes too of course, especially when you have an iPod or iPhone. But there are other 'aggregators' too, like Winpodder (www.winpodder.com).
Do I have to subscribe?
Well no of course, although when you do subscribe, you will get the content when it is available, no need to check all the different websites. But the podcast will also be made available at www.CockpitFM.net, and you can download it directly from there, or listen by using the player on there.
What is Sim Racing?
If you are new to this wonderful world of sim racing, let me tell you: If you like racing, playing race games and want more then just arcade style racing, this is for you! Sim racing is an online simulation of real racing. We use software like rFactor (www.rfactor.com) or SimBin's Race series, and we take part in online racing seasons. The handling of the car is so close to reality, it is almost not a 'game' anymore, but a simulation of the real world. Most drivers use actual steering wheels and pedals for the optimal feeling of the car, something the a z , and . don't provide. Every sertain moment on the race calender of that championship the drivers log in to the network with their sim racing software, and do an actual race. Most leagues also let you qualify first and start the race after that.
There are all kinds of different racing classes. From the Clio Cup till the Formula 1 cars, NASCAR, Indy, WTCC, DTM, V8 Supercars, Ralley, it's all there.
If you want to know more you just have to do 2 things. Start listening to CrashCastFM, right here on www.CockpitFM.net and pay a visit to www.rfactorcentral.com. Have fun, and CUOT (See You On the Track!)!
